Description
I participated as a keynote speaker at the III International Research Meeting organised by the Persona–Environment Research Group at the University of A Coruña (UDC), held on 13–14 November at CITEEC, at La Coruna in Spain. The event brought together researchers from Spain, Brazil, Mexico, the United States, Great Britain and Palestine to address the theme “Strategies to Mitigate Climate- and Conflict-Related Threats and Risks”. From a multidisciplinary perspective, the meeting explored the impacts of climate change on health, sustainable lifestyles, urbanism and architecture, energy transition and sustainability, as well as contemporary armed conflicts, emergency management and post-conflict housing responses. My keynote contribution engaged with the urgency of mitigating climate risks through socially grounded and interdisciplinary approaches, highlighting the role of scientific knowledge in informing territorial planning, climate justice and resilience—particularly relevant in the context of recent climate disasters in Spain, such as the DANA event in Valencia.| Period | 13 Nov 2024 → 14 Nov 2024 |
