Description

From 4 to 9 August 2025, I acted as organiser and curator of the exhibition showcasing the 3D Amazon Rainforest model at the Memorial dos Povos Originários (Memorial of Indigenous Peoples) in Brasília, capital of Brazil, as part of the Encounters for Climate and Indigenous Justice event. In this role, I led the conceptual design, curatorial narrative and coordination of activities to create an international platform for dialogue bringing together Indigenous leaders, researchers and civil society organisations. The exhibition highlighted the urgent challenges faced by Amazonian communities, strengthened Indigenous visibility within national climate policymaking, and helped consolidate alliances in preparation for COP30 in Belém. Alongside the 3D model, I developed, organised and led the Encounters for Climate and Indigenous Justice week activities, which featured Indigenous testimonies, traditional recitals and a participatory climate justice mapping exercise focused on the Amazon rainforest, fostering inclusive, experiential engagement with climate justice and Indigenous knowledge.
