Description
The “ Dressed for School” project is looking at the place and role of fashion and garments in the school’s environment and the interactions between children and their clothing in this context. Interdisciplinary is the key word of this project involving a variety of stakeholders including historians, anthropologists, ethnographers, designers (Design Schools) and the fashion industry. As an outcome of the project, the opportunity of practice led research on prospective topics will be provided by the practitioners to address the needs of the Fashion industry and reflect on the historical context surrounding the question. The observation of children and their helpers in the school environment will provide an original and needed source of knowledge to help our understanding of the role of fashion and clothing in the education of the child.Period | 2018 → Nov 2022 |
