The workshop is conducted in collaboration with the Heriot-Watt University, Dubai. It brings together students and faculties from both institutions to explore the potential of Digital technologies: Virtual Reality (VR) and computational tools to develop forms/spaces within the emerging landscape of Dubai. From conceptualizing new architectural landmarks to envisioning a utopian neighborhood, this workshop challenges participants to think creatively and critically about Dubai's emerging landscape. Through hands-on activities and collaborative projects, participants will explore the potential of the computational tool of Grasshopper and VR to generate innovative design solutions that address the city's evolving needs and aspirations. The workshop will focus on developing digital parametric models and integrating Virtual Reality for real-time feedback. By integrating computational design and VR into the design process, participants will have the ability to explore and refine their ideas through collaborative and experiential feedback. Thus fostering a deeper understanding of the urban fabric and its potential transformations.
