Description
The InfraLeaders 2025 programme is an international leadership development initiative designed to prepare senior professionals from the public and private infrastructure sectors in Brazil through a practical, comparative and globally informed five-day immersion with academic partners such as Durham University, University of Edinburgh, and Heriot-Watt University. It brings together top leaders, policymakers, technical executives, regulators and academics to explore strategic, technical and governance challenges in infrastructure, with sessions combining expert panels, case studies, visits, networking and opportunities to present projects to international investors and partners.I was invited as a keynote speaker at InfraLeaders, where I presented the Amazon Indigenous Wisdom: Shaping Climate Solutions in Brazil project, showcasing how humanities-based methodologies, such as storytelling, cultural immersion and participatory research, can contribute to innovative and sustainable responses to climate change within infrastructure and policy contexts. My contribution connected climate justice concerns with leadership practice, emphasising the value of bridging diverse knowledge systems for global decision-making.
