In 2008 and 2009 our industry has found itself in a turbulent market with oil and gas prizes falling dramatically. It now, however, looks like the world economy may stabilize and this spring a gradual prize increase has been observed from the $ 40 bottom level. The financial crisis and its consequences have forced the industry to be financially prudent, and cost effectiveness remains a major driver for solving problems. Environmental responsibility continues to grow in strength as a driver for developing solutions to production challenges in very environmentally sensitive areas. This may result in delayed action in order to bring oil and gas to the international market when demand again increases.
